The more falcon spotters, the better...more volunteers with towels, sweatshirts or jackets when "fledge watch" is on, the better!

OOOPS!
For a second I had a vision of the volunteers wearing jackets and sweatshirts with Fledge Watch written on them.  Then I reread the comment and understood.  Might be a cool idea, though probably not in the neighbour hood where the nest is a secret!

Old Bird weighing in here.  It's probably best if the conversation about where The Diner, etc is, was kept to PMs.  I'm pretty sure TPC would prefer if not too many people know where.  jmo   :) :)

I'll leave the professional tips up to TPC...
I unfortunately drive through to get to work.  Then I'm not back through again until 445-5pm.  So maybe will any luck, the chicks won't decide to fledge until the evening or the weekends. (and the same goes for Princess and Trey's chicks)  ;)

I know what y'all are thinkin', I've already decided that there will be chicks and that they will fledge  ::)
Keeping positive and I still believe it's going to be a GREAT YEAR for the peregrine falcons!

ok, I asked tpc about fledge watch and what I should do if... She's pretty busy right now, but your reference to towels, jackets etc. seem like a good idea. I'm there early 5:30 to 6:oo am, so any tips you could give me would be great.

I guess that's my problem - I go by there around 11am, then again around 6:30pm or 9:30pm - no wonder I never see anything.  :-\
Well now that you know, hopefully you'll be able to see them at work or just hanging around.

Please tell me you're staying at work later because you're watching the falcon cams or posting on the forum  ;)

Between 4 & 7 pm is a pretty good time...just look at the usual spots.  If you happen to see a lot of sea gulls around..or scattering around, you just might see falcon doing some fancy flying trying to catch lunch/dinner.

Not sure if you can go down in the morning hours, but I always seem to luck out!  I pass by around 7:30am and there is usually one perched on the building or the sign of the building!

Don't worry bccs...at the right time, you'll see one or both and you won't want to leave :)
