Is there a chance someone may have caught the fledge on video? Someone, such as our resident videographer, RCF, I hope.

  Sadly, I missed the first fledge. Hopefully after his relaunch, he landed in another safe place. Perhaps he will follow the sounds of the others and work his way home to the nestbox.

AAAGGGHHH, this not knowing whats going on is killing me.  Theres alot of squaking at the nest right now, or perhaps down the ledge.  Would like to know why!!??

FIRST FLEDGE

Checked the recorder for all the cams and we had first fledge at 0700 this morning from 1/2 way way down the ledge.  Fledge looked deliberate, not a bump or mis-step and looked pretty darn clean too.

Not positive, but pretty sure it was green/silver who went ...

Wow TPC!!  You were pretty spot on with the predictions of fledging this week.

Quick question about fledging.....
I know Beatrix, the lone female in the Radisson nest last year was the last to fledge.
Do the females normally fledge later than the male birds and if so, is it because they
are normally bigger than their brothers? Or maybe it really doesn't make a difference?

Sorry I missed that first fledge -- has the new flyer been sighted yet? Is the first time one has fledged before being named? Seems strange to be reading about band colours rather than a name!

More men on roof, think they have ropes.  Doing work on roof?  Washing windows?  Fixing sign?  Not sure.
Haven't been able to track down the chick with the skycam but that is not unusual, small bird, Lots of buildings.
Just unfortunate today is the day the work needed to be done - no way to predict it though.

Chick was sitting pretty on northwest corner of the Rogers Building then man came out on roof to do work and chick disappeared.  Don't know if he's gone for cover or moved to new building.  Skycam searching ....

Fingers crossed to our dare devil first fledger!  Glad to hear he landed somewhere safe and within sight!

Went hunting with the skycam and found our first-fledger on the roof of the Rogers Building having a little wander around.  He was making for the west side of the roof, perhaps because one of the adults is on the Hydro sign,

Just see 1 chick on the edge of the nestbox - likely the female. I guess the others are down the ledge somewhere, out of the camera's view.

I just came from fledgewatch, 3 on the ledge and one in the nestbox - north corner - gazing out.
Just a little flapping going on, nothing serious.
Hanging out with Dennis is great!
