Was I imagining or did dad forget to take the head off this meal?

At this stage they don't take the heads off anymore - nor the feet or wings.  Now its dropped off and the kids have to get through/past the "packaging".  All part of the learning process

Silly question, I thought the parents normally took the head off before bringing food in, or are they not as concerned now because the young ones are at the stage that they have to learn to hunt and feed themselves?

I seen it as well. The body and the head are still connected when he gave it to Fleet.

Hi every one,just a small request could we give McDermot his full name and not shorten it to Mac. 2years ago in Brandon we had a chick called Mac who got blown off the building into traffic and got run over, RCF was the one to find him so not such happy memories for us.  We lost both chicks that year.

Sorry to hear the bad news about what happened 2 years ago. That is very understandable because they are like children to everyone that watches them and takes care of them on the streets in case something happens to them and lets us know what is going on. It is also hard to deal with something like that when people shorten the name and it brings up the memories of what happened back then.

As of 2 minutes ago, Princess is on the very top of the large tower and Ivy is very low on the tower. He can only be seen from the surface lot behind the St. Regis hotel.
Neither one is yakking, but Princess is looking at the roof intently.

Hmmm, wonder who's on the roof?  Juvie?

Very small meal (small bird) was brought by for the Fleet & McDermot but Fleet go to it first and won
t share.  McDermot was inside napping and didn't manage to get to his feet quick enough to snag it from Dad.  Now he's pounding around the nestbox not sure if its out of frustration or just that he's awake now.  Now a little preening as his brother eats ...

McDermot is inside lying down against the back of the box napping in a pile of feathers (I'm ignoring what else he's lying on) and Fleet is catnapping on the front box edge.

One adult is alarm calling but its more "back off" than "death to invaders" and although I think it is from the communications tower overhead I can't be sure because of the wind today, sound is moving somewhat.  If it is from the comm tower - it will be Princess and it may be that the hotel staff are checking the chillers et al.

Will see what I can find out ...

I can hear the alarm calling plus a juvie (not on the nextbox) calling out in the background... I think...
