Manitoba Peregrines > Radisson Peregrines
Radisson - 2012 / Ivy & Princess
Kinderchick:
Yes! The anticipation mounts! :D Anyone want to try and guess when the 1st peregrine will return to Manitoba and which Phanatic will spot it?! ;)
GCG:
;D Excitement building. :D Had a message that Pam spotted the first Radisson Royal, March 16th, 2011. I think that it is time to dust off the binocs. :) :) :) Phanatic Phriends, time to get ready. :-* :-*
bev.:
our peregrines at the U of A. still nested and they where constructing right across from nest box for 5 years. Cranes etc. The fledges have to be careful with cranes, when they first fly but after they get going the cranes act a good place to roost.
Of course , we all hate the big building right in flight path of nest box, but try to watch fled lings.
Hope all goes well this year.

It is great that Ivy is calm!
What a wealth of personalities you have described, TPC, among the males of the Radisson lineage.

With Trey, they (Princess and Trey) always spent alot of time on the east side of the building. Ivy doesn't seem to hang out there much - top of the building and on the west are his sides. As for who chooses, its the males who make most of the scrapes and then the women choose from among them.
T-Rex hatched in the box but nested at least once on the nestledge with Madame and that's where Trey hatched.
Trey dragged Madame there once in the two years he nested with her and then three times with Princess in six years they were together
Ivy has been with Princess for two years and they have used the nestbox both years
Of the 22 actual nestings at the Radisson, only 6 have been on the nestledge ...
