The photo of Princess was taken April 23rd. when we needed to do some camera cleaning and final checks before everything went live. Just happened to be in the right place at the right time and looking through the right opening.

Miserable weather -- good that it held off until the chicks are a decent size. Ivy's turning out to be a great dad, isn't he?

Ivy's been hanging out with the kids all morning ... he's a cute bird, he has absolutely no problems hanging out inside the nestbox to keep out of bad weather.  Princess is the opposite, she'll do anything for the chicks but would be much happier about all of it if it were undercover - remember when it rained while incubating and she kept getting rained and dripped on?  Previous females, with a smaller roofed area used to shuggle the eggs/chicks further undercover, but not Princess, not in all the time she's been here

Definitely damp in Winnipeg and the Radisson nestbox today.  Was suppose to start clearing up early this afternoon, but now it looks like that won't happen until later this afternoon.

Princess has just finished feeding her group. It's hard to believe that their crops can stretch that much, WOW!  Also, they are a very vocal group, I just love their raucous noise.

They seem to have their mama's caracter. They should have that killer instinct and desire to survive.

Great capture of yesterdays picnic.

Breakfast was on the patio this morning & they've just come back inside. Snuggling with parent who doesn't look much bigger than they are. They have sure turned in to not so little fluff balls with a hit of dark feathers on the wings.

Mamma took them on a picnic in the rain, think they had KFC...I'm sure TPC will load a couple of screen captures...if not email her 

I'm sorry folks, I tried to post a video on the YouTube site but their "new" system won't let me back on to make the necessary updates.  Figures, system worked fine but no, they had to "fix" it.  Annoying as all heck.  Here are a couple of screen captures to hold you all over.  Maybe I'll be able to finish with the video but at the moment, I can't get to any of my videos.  (sorry, does it sound like I'm unimpressed with YouTube and their Mother Corp Google right now?)

Just reviewing the comments and looked at the cam as well...................their tail feathers are coming in already.......a little fringe which will grow very quickly!  Hard to imagine them being so wobbly and not being able to hold up t heir head 2 weeks ago.  Amazing!

Everyone back inside now - it's pouring out in Osborne Village (about a km from the Raddison), so it's nice to see everyone save and dry.

The babies are outside the camera range, can sure hear them but not see them.  |Scary how fast they are growng and developing.
