Mom has been so busy shugging the eggs around she has knocked one out from underneath her. Hopefully she will realize that she is too comfy and wonder why.

Doreen, if you check back at rcf's pictures you will see there is a significant crack in one of the eggs. Another chick is going to hatch so a feeding will probably be delayed until then.

Has this chick been fed already today?
Every time so far when the adult moves enough to see the chick,
it seems to be on it's side and it's eye is open. Is the chick ok?
Maybe I'm just worrying too much.

Looks like the top of the shell could come of at any moment.  Yeah!  Do it before it starts to rain again. 8)

Caught Hurricane shift swapping with Brooklyn a few minutes ago.  2nd egg was still work in progress as shown in previous post by RCF.

From your pic of the pip rcf, looks like the egg behind might also have a pip as well. Could be 2 new chicks emerging soon.

I saw that too, that would be great!

Thanks for the pics RCF.  Always manage to miss the shift change so the pictures are great.  Another baby by morning I guess. 8)

Food has been put in snack box and is probably waiting  for this net chick to hatch, with weather and all.

Brooklyn brought Hurricane food. She left with it and this pic is her coming back, she was only gone for maybe ten minutes.

Hurricane came back to the nest box just a few minutes after you posted TPC very quick change and as far as I can tell there has been no chick feed yet is this the norm?

Haven't checked the recorder yet but when I get a chance I will but I think you are right.  Not a big concern, the chick will be tired from its adventure and the weather really sucks for birds trying to hunt and an hours-old chick to try to figure out how to sit up and eat.  The chick won't come to harm, Hurricane and Brooklyn will feed it when they can or when they have to.  If there is another chick hatching at the moment, they may hold off and try to feed both when the winds go down some more.
