My mother, grandmother in law, and daughter all carry that moniker and pronounce it Be-a-trix although the a in the center is very short. It's no secret what name I voted for!!!

When I speak about her and her brothers, I want to be respectful of her name. After the banding and naming, I begin to start feeling the "empty nest syndrome". My PC is in an office off our rec room, it's time to set the laptop to this site upstairs at all times. My husband can no longer tell me to "get a life", he is hooked on the falcons. I believe it is pronounced Bee a trix. gcg That's how I pronounce it, no idea if its right though - guess I should check to be sure!
