I saw a shadow of a bird outside the nestbox view not long ago. Was that her or a parent? Is she in the nestbox chilling near the back of the box? I can't really tell. :-\

So I just returned from downtown to check things out - first time! After talking to Kinderchick and getting some great directions, etc we perched ourselves on the top floor of the CityPlace parking lot. We spotted Princess (I think) on top of the MB Hydro sign and watched Beatrix come out of the box a few times. Also saw Ivy (I think) drop in on Beatrix for a quick visit and then he stayed on the "a" of the Radisson sign. Looked all over the place for Cade, but given the hot temps I am thinking he probably found some shade to hang out in. Princess wasn't looking toward the old Free Press bldg though, she was watching toward the Delta which is the same direction that Ivy came from. I doubt that means anything, but just my little observation for the day... ;) Now I am going to invest in some binocs for tomorrow - the zoom on my camera just doesn't cut it!
