Carson - July 5 @ 1000h
Carson is active, strong & annoyed with the vet staff.
They are going to keep an eye on him for a couple of days but so far he is looking good.

Carson fledged with Fyfe on Sunday but we hadn't been able to find him until last night (Monday night) when he had a bit of a dust-up with the Hydro building as he was working his way either to a parent on the Hydro sign or on his way back to the nestbox (both are usual behaviours). Because we don't know how hard he hit, he's being check out by the folks at Wildlife Haven and we should have news soon. He was hissing at his rescuer last night which is a very good sign! More news as we have it!

Cade
Cade took the big leap today just before dinner time and managed his first flight quite nicely. He went west along Portage Avenue to the Air Canada Building and spent some time this evening practicing his flying skills before heading off the old Winnipeg Free Press Building for the night. He did very well and was safe and sound when the sun set and the fledgewatchers headed off home.

Looks like a graveyard... that is one nest box that is in serious need of housecleaning!!! :P :P

It's an optical illusion, mspeach. The nestbox is just off the roof of the Radisson, whichever floor that is.
BTW, welcome to the forum - don't know if I've said hello yet, we have a few newbies now, which is awesome! :-*
