The wind is really wicked downtown.  Not from the east anymore - the trees are whipping back and forth, north and south.  Whoever is on the eggs right now might getting really ruffled!

Me or P&T?  ;D  ;)  Whichever was trooping today in that horrid weather definitely gets a fold-and-bow from me!  Thank goodness for the hotel wall!

btw, TPC - I'm wondering why the Radisson sign has stayed on the building despite two owners since the Radisson chain.  Is it because of the PFs?

Yes Liz...Trey always offers to stay on the eggs or their chicks longer but Princess would have none of that.  As TPC wrote, it was really hard to tell today who was on the eggs for the majority of the day it seemed.  It looked like Trey because the body seemed smaller but Trey is on the eggs now and looks dry?  No matter who was on the eggs today, I just want to open my arms to you and hug and kiss you!

What a dedicated pair of falcons we have.  Between our Rockstar Trey and our stunning Princess, they hunkered down and kept their eggs warm and dry.  Every day they (peregrine's) amaze me!

Will have to check today's photos later for size comparisons to see who was where and when.  The bird was sooooo wet today there was not way to see their identifying markings ....

Cold won't.  Wet won't.  Wet & cold, I don't think so.  They are pretty smart birds, if they are at that point where they have to get dry, they should trade off.
Doesn't Trey want way more time on the chicks than he gets, as I recall?  (I should prob stop sayng that. lol) Maybe that's one of the reasons he stubbornly stayed on the eggs all day -- get it while you can!  I mean, surely he had an urge at some point to go... relieve himself.  Stretch his wings.  Get a bite to eat.   ;D

1945 hrs (local) - looks like Trey on the nest but can't be sure the light is too flat to see markings on the head.  But by size ...  Who ever it is they are all dried out and napping in the gravel with only the occasional gust of wind whipping around the corner to fluff up their feathers.  If you look carefully around the bird, you can notice the gravel looks less brown/more pale beige - that's the "dry" spot where whomever was incubating all day long ....

Taken in the last 5 minutes ....

Rain has stopped, they say for the night and none forecasted for tomorrow.  Wind is still gusting up to 60 km/h but Hotel is helping with that and it is suppose to die down to practically nothing later this evening.

Oops, adult on eggs has perked right up ... definitely Trey, black head, broad white breast ... little adjustment of eggs and they look fine.  He's doing the head shake so definitely our little Rockstar.

I did not realize this was not very high up, or is it. I can see people
Not as high up as we'd like!!!! - I think it's about 12 floors up.. ???... while the WEST NEST is about 30 stories.
Thanks for catching this, ballywing.  I meant to answer yesterday, but got caught up in the rest of the chatter.  I believe it's 13th floor, but we know how good my memory is!  lol  I have a beautiful, unobstructed view of it from our window, altho from a few blocks away.  I'll actually be able to watch the 'safety net' for the ledge going in!  Not Pam's view of course, but..!

Hope that there was a shift change and Trey was able to get dried off.
From where I'm sitting, in my apartment with a glass of wine, it's no longer raining  ;D, for the moment!
Even though there was a LOT of rain today..and we all hated the fact that P & T chose that darn nestledge again, it's actually been wonderful for them today as TPC explained earlier.  The wind was driving the rain from the West and the wind is currently NW @ 43 km/h with no gusts!  The Radisson has provided shelter from the rain and wind on a really bad day in Winnipeg.

Hey Moonstar, it was colder and wetter (and snowier) last year more often last year and the eggs hatched just fine.  I'm watching our little rockstar looking around and flipping the water off his head so he looks/acts fine, I think he is probably just uncomfortable.  As for the eggs, don't think they have had a chance to get so much as a breath of cooler air or rain int he last 24 hours so they should be just fine. Of course, the only way we will be sure is when they hatch - estimated for mid/late next week ....

It is so wet and so cold out there.  I didn't even walk very far and got soaked.  I am so worried about P & T and the eggs.  Will they be able to keep them warm enough?  I guess we just have to pray they will be fine.
