Pchemist, I agree with bcbird.  If going in to the CBC site is going to upset you, stay out.  You did a good job, so give it up.  (And I remember that Far Side cartoon!)

The ledge is 13 floors above ground, and the camera is another two floors above that, so the people walking by "close" is just an optical illusion.

Just like watching the stagecoach wheels in the old westerns....oh, my!  I just dated myself, didn't I.  Aw geez!
Nah, a bunch of us get the connection, mezmerizing but ever so thrilling.
And, at last look before the sun goes down, the chicks are well fed and well supervised.

Well I am back on topic.   ;D  Chick pile looks very restless. I think they want Mom or Dad to come and feed them and then cover them up for a warm sleep.  I know P & T are probably close by but I wish they would come back before it is dark.  The little ones look lonely.

yes, ma'am!  *draws a toe through the sand*

uh, there is a chick pile to the left of the screen.  there are clear poop shot streaks on the ungravel-ed portion of the (rather unattractive, honestly, they could have had the penthouse) ledge.

and it's getting dark.

do I get a gold star?   :-*

How about we keep this thread on the observations and the social catching up in the social zone folks - keep in mind that there are lots of guests reading this thread that will have no idea what you are all talking about ....

Appreciate it!

TPC, when you first said "Bits n Pieces" I took it literally and thought you meant all over the forum!  ;D  Low and behold there really is a page with that title. Frustrating watching someone fumble when you've already given good instructions and a tool, I'm sure  ;)  I'll be quicker on the uptake next time!
good lord enraptured, don't say tool, heidi may wake up :P :P
See TPC's new nestbox tool in the radisson peregrines

Whoa! I now see where I erred in my word choice and why we don't want to awaken Heidi Hoe!!  :o  Who knew a *oo* could get so advanced and vengeful!  I just spent ages reading all the pages in both 'new nestbox *oo*' and "don't ya hate it when..."  It was very eye-opening, laugh out loud funny, and ...  informative.    ;D

I wouldn't agree that you dated yourself, but you lost me because I'm not into old westerns.  That's somethings us border-cousins don't have in common.  Not saying people here aren't into them, but I'd guess a far less percentage.

Some birds will eat gravel to help them with their digestive system I think. I am not sure the Peregrines eat these gravel bits cause they are kinda big. But hey I could be wrong. TPC will give a more definitive answer Tcona.

I'm not sure that they actually eat the gravel, TCONA.  Correct me if I'm wrong, eagle.  I think it's more about moving gravel around, or...  maybe thinking they've found food, picking up something, and spitting out the junk?  I'm sure TPC has told us somewhere.  ???

Lots of laughs in today's reading.  I missed the action by about half an hour when I took a quick peek at work.  I figured out what happened when I saw part of a chick with the parent at the top corner.  But didn't Princess or Trey tell the "Brats" that they were not allowed out of the tuppernest until they were 30 (the bird's equivalent).  Bad BAD Chicks!   ;D ;D ;D

I wasn't expecting to see the tuppernest empty when I logged in earlier. I thought the chicks would be there for a few more days. Haven't been able to access the live stream since earlier this afternoon.
