from what TPC tells us, the head is usually "reserved" for the adults who can appreciate the delicacy...  and by the time they defeather, de-wing, and otherwise "prepare" the meal I don't think much is recognizable (other than that LEG!!!)

I wonder if that bit trey left behind is edible...oh, it just got cleaned up and out!

It was very round, perhaps the head...

Wow, amazing meal times with the chicks and both parents, one after the other! Lots of tug of war going on, too. THanks for the play-by-play close ups!

now it looks like Princess is bringing the second course...  The defeathering is a messy process and the kids do not feel like waiting!

(thanks again for the close-up!)

What a wonderfull view of the three huge chicks.  I can't believe how much they have grown in the past few days. After last year it is so wonderfull to see these guys.   And thanks for that little downtown tour.  I am sure that it gave some non Winnipeg folks a better idea of the surroundings here.

Let us give thanks to the camera technician who would take time to do all this camera work....on their day off ??? or do you sleep by the camera ??? 8)  At any rate, thanks for being so good to those of us who like close ups like this.  You can really seeing the markings on the birds, now.  And a face only a mother could love.
