The Kinderchicklets have to go home at 11:30 AM but many of them will be able to watch it at home, if they miss it this morning at school. I know that the weather conditions have to be "just right", for everyone to be safe and I have explained this to them. We will watch the taping tomorrow, if we miss it today! ;D

I wonder when they are looking out over the ledge if they are planning their flight plans..."I am going there, then over there and I always wanted to see that place! ;D"

Yes, birdlover, the Kinderchicklets have been VERY excited, to say the least! We have had the Falcon Cam up and open on our large screen digital projector all morning, while we try to go about the business of planting beans today! I'm sure that many of them think that Tracy is doing this just for them!!! ;D

It's great that the Kinderchicklets are so excited -- this truly IS something to be excited about, and it's wonderful for them to learn to be open to the amazing things/events that the world holds. I feel just about as excited, myself. Tracy is fortunate to be part of a project like this, but going up on that stage is sure a high price to pay! Best of luck, Tracy and crew. You know there are a lot of us watching and thinking of you!

hey, Kinderchick - did you notice you're a Chick now?   ;D

so if you read it in order, you're a "Classroom Chick"

Pegcity, TPC said it may be a little later because the swingstage people make the final "go/no-go" call.

P&T will yell and swoop, but they "know" TPC and have been through this before.  Shouldn't be much different this time, I imagine.  That said - it's nature, and not a script!

So excited as banding time is almost upon us...T MINUS 10 mins people....get to the potty...grab the popcorn and get a seat for the show....

Does anyone know what Trey's reaction may be? As I have read that he was banded on this very spot some years ago...do you guys think that he will have any idea what's going on...and what about Princess....she might FREAK OUT??

Well Kinderchick, she is doing it for each and every one of them and us too.  I hope they get to see it before they have to go home for the day!

Right now the chicks are fine, they are curious as to what the ropes are.  The banding might stress them out and the parents will be royally po'd. Some banders wear gloves but other don't and TPC happens to be one that doesn't wear gloves.  There is a video of the banding in 2007 on the CBC page.  How they will react is anyone guess.

So I'm kind of wondering... how much of a concern are those not-so-little chick beaks and feet to the banding crew? And how have the chicks of previous years reacted to the process?
