They have picked (if it still goes ahead for 11:30) a good day to do this as most of southern Manitoba is now under a severe thunderstorm watch.  Winnipeg has been forecast for later in the afternoon or early evening.

And, with all this anticipation among us watchers, the chicks are flaked out, sound asleep, not worrying about a thing. I imagine Princess and Trey are keeping a close watch on all the activity below.

Birdlover; I have checked the weather radar since 5 a.m. and Woodlnads is not showing anything at this time.

As John Sauder mentioned yesterday, daytime heat can make them pop up
quickly in the afternoon.

As long as the south wind doesn't get any higher...........

OMG    We have just had a Severe Thunderstorm Watch posted for Brandon!  I hope the banding goes ahead NOW, cuz I know y'all get our weather sooner or later.  Here's hoping it's MUCH LATER!

Just checked Environment Canada -- nothing in the thunderstorm line forecast until this evening, so there should be lots of time for the banding! As Pegcity said, hot and sunny here for now.
