You know, I just started to say that they don't seem to be hiding in the shade of the ledge as much today, possibly because there's quite a bit of cloud -- but there they went, all three of them, tucked against the ledge. So much for that theory . . .

Lot of flapping going on -- those wings are starting to look really powerful now that there's a bit more control -- and are there really more dark feathers since yesterday???

Our twosome are looking over the edge towards the south east.  Our loner is north of the vent flapping her wings.  She has now decided to join the other two.  All three are peering over the edge. Boy have they ever grown even since yesterday... definately more dark feathers.  Have a great day everyone.

got some serious wing flapping going on too.  then back to just trying to stay cool.  then more flapping.  really showing off those new feathers coming in!

don't panic - the little one is NOT trying to go over the ledge!  most the time the flapping is done while facing the wall.

Nice to see it from the ground. which made me think. They do not have many places to fledge  from that ledge do they. Or am I missing something.
Now I have to run as the last 2 weeks have been a bust here and I best start shoveling out my house.LOL

All three of the babies are at the edge looking out.......Mercy they are giving me  a heart attack!!! They better not try to test the wings yet! Yikes. Missed the show yesterday. I waited and waited and waited then my stomach gave in.Went for lunch. Will the show be posted somewhere later? I saw the down portion only.

For those of you who aren't in Winnipeg, right now (9 am local) it's 20 C, heading for a high of 27 -- sunny right now, with a 60% chance of showers or thunderstorms this afternoon and this evening, virtually no wind. The storms forecast for yesterday didn't materialize, so the chicks haven't had to deal with any rain or strong winds.

Nothing much to report right now -- just three little piles of feathers, sprawled in their separate locations. One just popped his head up and started to preen, but the other two are out like lights!
