Saoirse:
Since Bccs won't be able to give us air quality reports today, I drove downtown and stopped for a while on my way to work. Looked and looked and looked, but no sign of our falcon family -- maybe they're going to hide out in the shade again today.  :(

Ellie:
Thank you Allikat!  Checked out that website but the best picture of the "bird/falcon" that I saw fly over my head looked like Lunge Posted July 13/09 on the Ohio site.  The underside of the one that flew over was that colorful on the underside and definitely a Brownish color.  Hope it comes back to visit again!  It was such a surprise to see and I was talking with my family at the time so I didn't get a good chance to really mentally snap the picture in my mind.  It also was not flying very high.

Came and went a few times and then disappeared.  I am afraid I am not very good at knowing a merlin from a peregrine.  Are the juvies as large as the parents now?  Are the peregrines slightly smaller than a crow or about the same size.  I have more questions than anything else!!!!!  Need some help!

Great pictures and information (just easier to provide this link for you)

Ellie:
The Assiniboine park "bird" seemed to be enjoying Ron Paley's big band as it sat there for quite some time!
