Now there's a tasty meal, just dropped off! Sure hope Hot Shot gets a delivery soon!  ;)

wow, that is the biggest bird I've  ever seen delivered for dinner
I think the bird just looks so big, Enraptured, 'cause now they have to do their own dinner prep, like plucking, etc.

Parents don't have a chance to do anything with those two the way they steal that food!

Sometimes the looking skywards, I think, means one of the parents is circling above. Even tempting them with food in their talons, saying come and get it.
I sure hope so, willmax! :-\

Argh! Standing on one leg and stretching out wings right on the corner of the nest ledge! Why can't they be more careful! Oh yeah, right, they have wings . . .  but still! ;)

It appears that supper is being prepared above.

Hot Shot looks in good form even though he can hear his sibs calling for him to come home.   Perhaps he will figure out how to get there yet before night falls!  Be safe!

Thanks for the close-up of our little hot shot -- he looks very alone down there, while his two sibs hang out on the nest ledge. But I know that's just a human reaction . . . for all I know, he's feeling really pleased with himself for his day of solo flight!

Typically - they would want him to take a few flights and get up higher before they reward him with food.  But if they see he's there at dusk then they will feed him to keep him there safe overnight.  That's how our parents do it - I'm sure each falcon pair has their own strategy.

P&T are long time parents and they know what they're doing, it's harder for us than them  ;)

Thank you for those comforting words! It is certainly harder on the lot of us - who'd have thought that these three little chicks could keep this many Winnipegers glued to their computer on a sunny Saturday!  ;D

There is a link to a photo of the side of the Raddison that Willmax11 posted - page 20 - post #298 - really good view of the nest ledge and the lower ledge where Mr. Hot Shot is.

Rain started again in the village just after I hit "post" earlier. It's now letting up again (6:08 local)

Great closeup of chick on drain cover doing some flappling.
