And I'm pretty certain that bird the camera caught flying off the building is a falcon.  My brothers raised pigeons and they are more compact than the longer, larger falcons who have longer wings in relation to their body.  Thx camera person.  Now I am off to church.

Yes the males have fledge, sis looks to have no interest in the prospect at the moment by the look of her napping in the sun at the back of the nestledge.  Hot Shot (first fledge) is on the Parkade roof, Little Charmer is on the Paris Building roof but hasn't come back up on the roof-edge wall yet.  That's not unusual, flight is a whole new experience and they usually sit where they land for awhile (hours mostly) before reappearing.  Hot Shot yesterday was not visible from 7 am to 1+ pm.  Weather is nice, winds are calmish and its quiet downtown, all great conditions for fledging ...

... sis has moved to the south end of the nestledge and is looking at something in the distance ... maybe Mum/Dad ... Hot Shot has been calling from the Parkade for the last little while according to Dennis & Bccs despite have leftovers to chow down on ... okay sis is settling again in the poop-art bedroom, cooler perhaps ...

All I have is the nest ledge with no one in sight, although Sis was there only ten minutes ago. Surely she hasn't flown, too?

All I have is a rooftop.  :(
So, I hope I haven't frozen up again, which is what happens the majority of the time.

For a while I thought the bird on the ledge they just focussed on was the female.  It seemed bigger, with a wider body (but there was no one around to compare it with).  Now that we are focussed on the nest again, I am not so sure.  From the posts its the males who took the plunge first.

I wonder if body size determines when the "chicks" take the plunge.  If so, the males went first because they had less body mass to develop. There still seems to be a (relatively speaking) lot of down around the bird in the nest's head.  Thx for the closeups.

So, let me get this straight.  #1 is still on the parkade roof and #2 has fledged and we think that he is on the Paris Bldg.  Big Sis is still on the nest ledge and loving her own room.  And, everyone has been fed this morning???
Am I right from what I have read?

Looks like Mom or Dad dropped off food to the Hot Shot while we were looking for him/her!!

And no the bird soaring in the background isn't the chick or either of the adults ... maybe pigeon (but looked too big) or maybe seagull (not that common a sight but maybe because its quiet right now)
