Totally out of sight -- probably about the height of the nest ledge but along the back of the hotel rather than the east side.

Saoirse, when you said, "Hot Shot had vanished around the back of the Radisson," did he fly again, or just retreat back on that awning?

Hi all! Just got back from spending a few hours gawking up at the Radisson and the Paris Building -- fantastic to be able to meet BCCS, Willmax, Moka, Des, Kinderchick, a couple of friendly lurkers and last, but far from least, TPC. So nice to put faces to names! And, to those other watchers who live in Winnipeg, it's a whole different thing to actually stand on the street and listen to the squawking and screeching -- and see Trey or Princess swoop across the sky. Amazing! When I left downtown, Little Charmer was still on the Paris Building, Sis keeping a low profile on the nest ledge, and Hot Shot had vanished around the back of the Radisson. Princess was keeping watch from her perch on the "N" of the Radisson sign. But what a wonderful few hours!

I know how you guys feel. I know I am lucky to live in wpg where all this is happening.

Also, thanks to this blog and the people on it, I want to be involved. This is the first and only blog I belong to. The tone and the level of genuine interest is so worthwhile. Kudos to Tracy for her level of care in all things.

I just got back from spending an hour with bccs and a few other phanatics on the corner of Portage & Smith.

We watched Princess preening, Hot Shot posing and wingercising and Trey hunting. A very good time was had by all. Thanks to bccs for the use of her binocs.

I was fun to meet a few more of the gang. A perfect day for it.

Just returned.  Don't seem to have missed much.  Eveyone is pretty much in the same position as before.  Just as happy that the daytime is quiet as I have to leave again.  Thanks to those of you who will be watching this afternoon and keeping us updated.  Talk to you all this evening.

I went out for an hour and a half but in reading through the last few posts, there doesn't seem to be much action. Sis is still on the nestledge, with the occasional flapping. May head downtown myself this afternoon. If I do, I may try to wave? I'll be wearing a multi coloured sunhat.

Pretty sure it happened, but it was over quick with Trey doing the spectacular step, swoop off below, exit.  That dark bit leaning against the left side of the drain is the leftover.
