I'm late getting started today but am  happy to hear the "kids" are doing so well.  Hope we get at least one on the ledge for a nap sometime today.  Hate to not see them at all anymore. Vesper seems to be doing very well after her first flying mishap slowed her down some.  Fledge watchers descriptions are great .......almost as though we were there with them!!

Now that bccs is gone off (to sleep hopefully!) should we phone TPC with updates to go on the forum or who? I know that the gang will want reports and, unlike some, I cannot post from the street.

Citi Place used to be Eaton Place. There is a walkway from there to the library and then to the post office and one after that, I think to Winnipeg Square. However, don't know what the viewing would be like from there, 2nd storey level.
Walkway on Portage from Portage Place to the Bay. But not close to the Radisson, 2 or 3 blocks away.

Yeah, I know what you mean . . . and I never considered myself a worrier before getting involved with watching the chicks. Despite the worry, though, I'm so thankful that I volunteered for fledge watch, committed to several shifts (and wound up downtown with the group even when I wasn't officially scheduled), and wish the "job" wasn't nearly over.

Hi everyone! Just checking in from southern Ontario again. My sister actually needed to use her computer at work today so now I'm at a library. Never done the library computer thing before, another new experience for me, as was Fledge Watch Patrol! I did have an hour on the computer but now only have 10 mins. left... took me that long to catch up on all the posts from yesterday and today! Thank you everyone SO much for all the updates! So glad to hear that Vesper is doing well and getting a wee bit of aviation practice in! Keep up the good work, Ground Force!   Wish I was there to help out a bit! And sorry with the incorrect term that I used yesterday, when I referred to the camera on the nestbox being fogged up. I meant to say the camera on the nestledge was fogged up! Big difference! Sorry I was messing with your mind, Pchemist! Didn't intend to do that. I did read a post from TPC indicating that it isn't possible to ignite the camera on the nestbox at this point in time. Will catch up with you all again later!

Are there no walkway crossings that are suitable for viewing, like
on Graham or Portage? Out of the sun and rain.

Good morning.  Thanks everyone for the updates.  I'm heading downtown and hope to meet up with some of you..  Haven't had much luck and considering our babes are all over the place its quite likely that I won't find anyone.....oh well at least I'll see the birds

Kind of late, but yes. I dug out my refractor 50 power telescope so I
could help see into the west nest. Maybe next year.
