I second the sentiment. Now that the babes are fledged I so look forward to Ground Force and Eyes in the Sky reports..and Dennis' photos naturally. I feel privileged to have watch the falcons from egg to fledge. Thank you Tracy, and thank you to everyone keeping the Phanatics Afar up-to-date.

Way to go everyone with the updates on Vesper...hope she's doing well with the wind today. This could be an exciting evening and weekend.

 so we walked back to portage and the HOLY CRAP the bird fell off the roof.

...i, too, did a LOL at my computer - you must have just about had a heart attack!...and "HOLY CRAP" happens to be one of my most favorite sayings.

Found her on top of MTS again, then she flew around a bit & back towards MTS/Graham ave.  Poor Sami - I keep phoning her....."she went that-a-way"...."no, she went this-a-way".  Sami is getting her exercise!

I was briefly down and met with the Fledge watch team - gramma, pam and another very nice lady (sorry, I forgot your name). Vesper was sitting/walking on the west side of the MTS Centre roof. Then, suddenly, she took off, made a circle and dissapeared in the direction of the middle of the building. MTS has a quite complex roof, so plenty of ledges to perch on. Nobody could spot her since.
Hopefully, she will decide to show up so we'll enjoy her company again.

MsD, you're going to get me into trouble -- here I am, sitting at my computer, laughing out loud! Great report and it's good to know what the birds are up to. Mind you, it's going to take a while to erase that mental image of you guys scrambling across Portage Avenue to rescue the carcas!

Gave me a minor heart attack as I was so involved in the report...then I read that it was a carcass that you ran across Portage Ave for. LOL  Way to go watcher!!!  Way to keep your eyes on our boys, girl and parents....and flying bits

well the morning sure went by fast.

Spent a quite abit of time hanging out at the St Regis Parking lot because you could see the north east corner of Citi Place where the birds seem to be hanging out at alot.

The food transfer thing .. or at least it looked like the transfered the food .. was pretty darn cool.

For awhile the girl was just sitting on the corner and everyone else was out playing, except i think there were 2 sitting on the Radisson letters.

Des went for a wander and i stayed put for a bit then then Vesper flew north towards Portage so I took off to try and follow her.  Met back up with Des and then Sami walked by.  We thought we would check the North side of Portage so off we went.  We were down the street looking back towards Citi Place and the Radisson and saw what we thought was a bird.... and every now and the the wing would flap up.  It was on top of the building beside the  Radisson.  (money mart and Bargan World).  so we walked back to portage and the HOLY CRAP the bird fell off the roof.  We ran across Portage Ave .. thankfully no traffic to stop us ... and found ... well ...part of a bird.  couple wings and a might nice hunk of breast.   I guess they had a stash on the top of the building for later, but the wind must have blown it off.  (Got us a little excited)

There was a chick again hanging out on the corner of Citi Place again, and a parent flying around....yelling I think at the kid to come on and fly.

Granni found Sami and I standing on the corner of Smith and Graham watching and listening.  I left the two of them.  I think Sami is going to be around till 4:00 or so.

BccS asked me to post that Tracy is busy with her real life job and should not be called unless its a birdie emergency.

Now that bccs is gone off (to sleep hopefully!) should we phone TPC with updates to go on the forum or who? I know that the gang will want reports and, unlike some, I cannot post from the street.

Hi guys, I just talked with her and she's doing real job work right now. Unless it's something really serious, I wouldn't call. Filled her in on the news.
