Pam, thank you for your report!

It is such a relief to hear all are doing well.  I'm glad Vesper is settled safely, though sad that none have returned to the ledge this eve.

Just returned from the Bomber game.  We won! ;D :o Glad everyone had a good time on the streets of Winnipeg.  Thanks for your well noted posts.  So our little girl was a screeching was she?  This afternoon she was actually quite quiet ....it was Trey and the boys making all the noise.  They are getting so hard to keep track of ...especially the boys who get stronger and more confident every day.  I'm happy :D but sad  :(at the same time.  I hope your hip is better Sami and that your sunburn isn't too bad.  Bccs....sorry I missed your demonstration. ;) Can't wait to actually meet you in person ;D ;) Good night to all of you...you're a wonderful group of dedicated individuals...we thank you and the falcons do too.  Night night little ones wherever you are.  Stay safe.

Great evening of falcon watching - we saw all 5 at one time or another, Trey & Princess flew around quite a bit - dropped some food (which occupied the boys, Vesper just complained loudly).  Vesper was still sitting on a window ledge of the Radisson when we left - she looked pretty settled.  We attracted a few lurkers tonight, one with great eyes for the birds - JOIN THE FORUM TED!  It's amazing how many times watchers have been approached by folks who are familiar with the Forum (but haven't joined), folks who have recently joined and folks who just want to know what the h... we are doing.

Tonight around 6:30, I get a glimpse of a low pass by a big one with 2 smaller ones following not to far behind on either side.   2 fighter jets practising and chasing 2 long fuel hoses? behind a large plane..
well we sure didn't see that part on Portage!  Lucky you - wow!
I'm into the "ignore it and maybe it will go away" mode.
Oh no!  :-\

Well, this has been the most active day yet. I had to bail early because my hip gave out with all the walking, running (just had to rescue that carcass) and standing. But lots of people to join me - thanks, all of you.
While I was trying to find Vesper (after Gramma had left), I saw her fly from the MTS building towards the Radiss0n and try to make it to the top. She got about half way (that's half way of what I could see of the building above the other rooftops, did a circle, tried again, but didn't have enough room to gain enough altitude so she flew down. It was probably her that the Friesens saw walking the ledge on the other side. I went back to Portage, met the Friesens and while talking to them, saw two falcons, one landing on the MTS building (again, suspect it was Vesper since the boys were to the south and the other falcon went riding thermals, circling up and up into the sky. I saw Princess do that on Monday, so it may have been her. Especially since Trey was back on the east Radisson sign. A couple more rounds didn't show anybody, so I think Vesper was probably still on the MTS building and everybody else was more or less accounted for. And I did miss out on the two fights that the Friesens saw!

You've been doing yeoman duty, Sami, take care of your hip!  And thanks for all your watching!

Did anyone take pictures of this falcon walk imitation that bccs is worried about?
I sincerely hope not bcbird, although we never do know about the web cam ( oh crap ) :-[

I'm feeling like a medical disaster right now! Actually, once I got off my feet, the hip let up. Walking a lot or just standing seems to set it off. Unfortunately, I can't sit all the time and have no intention of riding around in a scooter or some such - so, I go till I can't stand it any more. I'm into the "ignore it and maybe it will go away" mode. Thanks for asking, Liz and bcbird.

Those jets were on their way to the Bomber's home opener at the stadium! They did one fly-by, then another right after the anthem was over - it was excellent!!! First time they've demonstrated the 'refueling' process! 8)
Never thought of it as similar to the falcons, but YA, definitely!!!  ;D
So are all the night watchers still out partying?  ???

Sore! I've been piling creams on the worst burnt areas, there's a patch on my forehead that is red and white and peeling which seems to be the worst. However, though it came close, no blisters, and I'll survive. I've had worse, just not on my face.

I know what you mean about the eyeball rolls . I get them all the time with my kids

My daughter is SO unimpressed that my Friday night is at home with the promise of updates from the falcon patrol.
