Radisson - 2010 / Ivy & Princess
bcbird:
How fun to have manager delivered pizza!
Isn't that great that Sylwia actually was there at a good time to see Ivy.
bccs:
Hee hee hee, snooze ya lose people.
TPC summed up the morning quite well, lots and lots of flying, and they are becoming quite skillful.
Now here comes the really fun stuff.
Cooper joined us just shortly before I spoke with The Chick. We watched some more and then we all were feeling a wee bit hungry. So I said, wanna order in a pizza.Well we all cracked up at that, what place in their right mind would deliver to a parking lot?
And the hamster woke up ;D ;D
I said how about Boston Pizza. So figuring what the heck, I gave them a call. If I hadn't been there, I would not believe it. Lovely voice picks up the phone, says "Boston Pizza, Sylwia speaking ".
After I stopped laughing, I said is this Sylwia the manager, she answered yes, and I said it's the birdie people. We laughed for a bit and then I ordered the pizza. When she asked for the address, I said the parking lot behind the St. Regis Hotel. Dead silence, loud voice, you want me to deliver to a parking lot??
I said yup, she said ok, took our order and said it would be about 25 minutes.
We watched some more and up drives a bright sporty car. It's Sylwia with our food.
She got out, saw Ivy on the A, turned and looked at us and said that the bird is really big. Kind of a bit of awe on her face. Off she went, we ate and watched some more and now we're all back to real life again.
What a hugely fun morning. ;D
allikat:
Sounds like all is well with the Radisson family!
I'll write this again folks, yes, "fledge watch" is officially over but, watching the four of them develop their hunting skills with Dad & Mom is just out of this world! If you can, get out there and watch them. They own the sky!
Alex:
Oh heck. I've missed all the action. I didn't think they'd be leaving the nestbox so soon! I've been preoccupied learning all about the Police State cabal at the G20 in Toronto.
My heart stopped for a minute when I went to check in and saw that the Falcons weren't there. I thought there'd been some terrible storm and they'd all been killed. Well, too bad I missed it but I am SO relieved that all four survived and headed out into the big world.
Stormy:
Things are winding down and I want to let everyone know how much I have appreciated all of the blow by blows on the goings on at Peregrination. Our birdies definitely have lots of personality and individual appeal. Thank you too for all of great photos - they are beautiful (birds and photos). :)
Thank you to all of the reporters, rescuers, forum readers, and TPC, Denis, bccs . . . :-*
Much appreciated!
