Princess on the nest and I was  watching Ivy soaring in the wind and he went south just now.

The box was empty on Sunday, won't check it over the next few days because of the windy, wet and cooler weather forecasted.  Will check again on Friday or on the weekend, the choice will be weather and behaviour dependent.

But yes, it is just about time for the eggs to arrive ....

10 min ago - Princess on the Slash under the 'R' - and Ivy on the 'Dot' - both stayed put for the 12 minutes I was there,  so I assume no eggs yet.  ;)

Yes she could have been in the nest box, she could have been hunting for lunch. I can't see into the box from the street. only can see if some bird is on the edge of the box.

Any chance she or he could have been in the nest box, B? Or would you have been able to see that? Obviously, I need to head downtown and get a closer look at that west side and refresh my memory about the surrounding buildings!

Dennis just called me to say that both birds were on the west side, one on the sign and one on the nest box.
Had to go and have a little look. saw one on the dot of the I, but didn't see one on the box.

I saw a very rare occurance this morning..... Both Princess and Ivy were sitting on the west nest at the same time. Ususally one or the other but I have not seen both at the same time. Tracy you sure nothing is IN the West nest?

Firstly, thank you TPC for your heartfelt and touching comment on Sunday re Trey; I was totally moved to tears and know his "no show" is hardest of all on you who has nurtured and loved him for so long.  We can only hope he will surface in another place with another partner.

Now...for those of you who only read this forum...please go to the West Winnipeg  and Brandon groups post6s for some real excitement!!!!

The west nest probably looks even more appealing when she compares it to the east ledge that's in desperate need of a gardener -- a lot of work there before she could move in and lay her eggs.

Ivy is right up against the building on the West nest. you have to look real close because he appears to be the same colour and blends right in. Yesterday I was watching Princess looking in the nest. She was facing out but turning her neck to look inside the nest as far as she could turn. She thinking " Hey not a bad spot for eggs" I am hoping.

they sure are spending alot of time on the west nest.  I look often during the day and usually i see someone sitting in the nest.

Hopefully the weeds are too much for Princess

I saw both peregrines on the west side this morning from about 1:00 to 1:10 - at which point they both flew off - heading more or less to the east.  One had been on the nest, the other as reported, on the  top of the S (second one).  No sign of either at around  3:30 or so.

Thanks for the update MH!! - Good to know they seem to really be settling down~ Looking forward to reports of EGGS!  8)
Hopefully it helps TPC to know how much support there is from the Phanatics behind her and the welfare of her beloved Peregrines!... I think Trey will make his appearance again one day.  ;D

I could not gt in this morning......I tried all morning to let everyone know that both of them have been sitting on the west side almost all day today as they were on Friday. Him on the letter s and her on the nest. They barely have left. Tracy that was a wonderful posting you did. I almost started to cry, not knowing what happens would be hard on you when you get sooooooo close to them.
