Radisson - 2010 / Ivy & Princess

I think I saw four little heads before I left for work this morning.  Ivy had just dropped off breakfast it looked like four little heads popped up - maybe I was just expecting it to be so...it was hard to see for sure.

Awww I hope the little guy got some!!!!... It's always the 'runts' we worry about!

I'm pretty sure. Of course, I've been known to see what I want to see. 

But what I saw when I first started watching was three greedy beaks craning for food and slowly the little heap behind the others (but closest to the camera) struggles up with his little head just a wavering and his beak a-gaping as best he could. I'm sure I saw four beaks at that point.

When it seemed (IMHO) the newest chick wasn't getting his fair share, I ended up concentrating on willing food to be dropped into his beak. He didn't have the best aim. The others seemed quite adept at getting their beaks where mom's was going! Princess was doing a great job of doling out though!

I'm pretty sure I saw four beaks in the fray! Sure hope so. I'd hate to think this hatchling has old bird eyes!

Oh, I'm sure I saw four little gaping beaks. Princess was doing her darnedest to make sure they all got stoked but I don't think the little one (closest to the camera) was getting his fair share.  He was having a hard time keep his yap up there in line with the rest. I was rooting for him though. "Come on little guy get your beak in there!"

I finally got to see the three babies getting fed!That is soooooo precious. Is the fortuh egg in the middle of ll that action?

9:30 feeding.  I think it's Princess and she's brought home a fair size meal.

9:38 I'm not sure how many chicks I saw but she's settled back onto them now.

Oooh gotta feel for Ivy- JUST got settled on the chicks and in comes Princess with a snack. 'Get Out!' - and off the kiddies he hops - takes one backward look....' I said Get Out!!!' - and Ivy vacates the nest ..... Chickpile is enjoying their meal!!!  ...- Can't see the 4th egg from here, wonder if it's still there, if so hope it hurries up & hatches!!!

Ivy sat on the left corner of the box for a while during the feeding. Princess kept her back to the camera, so obscured the view of the chicks during the feeding, but there was a brief view of chickpile when she left to dispose of the leftovers.

I could see three chicks but not the egg.

It's hard to see if they're all hatched. Do we have 4 or still 3?

Ivy brought food and the chicks are having a good feed. They are so tiny, it's hard to believe they will be flying in a couple of months.

It looks a bit breezy in the nest box this morning. I saw a gust ruffle Princess's back feathers.
No worries, though, as the chicks will be protected by the side of the box and their parents.

Of course now that I've typed this the wind looks like it has died down!
