Both kestrels visited the nest box yesterday evening:

The female seems to spend the night in the nest box quite frequently. She left early this morning. The male visited later and both were in the nest box briefly. The female returned to settle in for the night.

The adult kestrels have been spending quite a bit of time at the nest box. Both were there at first light this morning, then visited again later in the morning. The female returned in the evening, and both were in the box as darkness fell.

For the first time, this cam is active outside of the nesting season, and the kestrels have been seen at the nest.

The female visited today, and returned in the evening to settle in the nest for the night. She was still there when it was fully dark.
