I agree with you, sami. As hard as it is to lose any peregrine, it is good that they have names.

Thank you for posting, Carly.
From the excitement of hearing of survivor Mackenzie yesterday at a different site, to the very sad news of Joe here, we have the contrast in outcomes due to the high first year mortality for these peregrine juveniles. Moments of joy, moments of sadness, not for the faint hearted to become attached to this species.
