AB / Edmonton - Weber Centre - 2009-18

Not sure where to post this.  I was watching the Weber center chicklets, and they seemed intent on following something passing by this evening.  3 of the 4 eyes were following something passing by.  It was cute.

The Alberta chicks look good.

How nice to see these four chicks looking so well. 

Hopefully they will all stay safe as they seem to enjoy venturing in and out of their nestbox, but I cannot see the actual size of that outside area.

I watched them. they go in sideways. the new male has learned not to  go through  the last bar, he will not fit LOL

Holy cats, look at the size of that meal - how the heck did they get an ostrich through the bars on that nestbox!!!!

we have scoured that area, and are really baffled and  we have been monitoring closely. I ma saddened but hopefully he is O.k. and may turn up somewhere else.

but this male is bringing Green prey , we have been down and watched them canoodle. this third egg will be his. He is attentive. now we will see if he will incubate. Dr. Court says he looks young. so hopefully at least 2 .

Earlier today, before the third egg was laid, I believe this was the new unbanded male guarding the eggs. Bev, do you know if there has been any sign of B/72?

Green Girl laid her third egg today some time around 5:35 - 5:45 p.m., and it's a beautiful egg. After laying the egg, she moved it in between her feet.

Sorry to hear about the change to a new male, Bev. I hope both males are uninjured.

at about 5:4opm

first two eggs will be B72, however as of about 7:30 pm april30 we have a new unbanded male



this i s one of reasons were were down there again. Emmy was at cams while we were there and texted us. While we were there , another male falcon came in and flew right up to th e W that new male was on. no altercation, just chased out.

this  new male brought a food gift to Green girl just before we got there.  he is quite the flier, and very interested in box and eggs. we saw a canoodle while we were there . will post a few shots later
