There aren't that many captive-bred birds being released Bev and tape usually comes off within a couple of months, so I would suggest also considering that it might be a purple anodized band as they often look red from a distance.  And the US Midwest folks put the anodized band on the right leg, the coloured band on the left.  The bird may not be cooperating for band numbers but see if you can get a look at the left leg and just look for colour, that might help to narrow your search parameters.

Never for a minute would I think that Bev   And it never hurts to ask.

Considering what band-width costs and if they are still testing it, I just thought I would chime in.  At times like these when companies/organizations are having to be careful with their money, "fun" things like webcams are often viewed as luxuries that might need to be put on hold until the economy improves.

He sent me test link so I could monitor for them. I will ask if I can post it, but I think too much stuff on page. 

I would suggest waiting until they get all the problems solved that way they save on bandwidth (remember it costs them money every time everyone of us logs in) for the "real" thing. 

Just my thought on the subject.

2013 NESTING SEASON

2 eggs at Genesse. banded female , unbanded male.  cam will be up soon . they are testing it. I have a link from test cam

all 4 chicks were males, 2 taken out and the 2 remaining , are doing great. the other 2 will be hacked this week... I will post my small pictures tomorrow.

That is wonderful news, bev! Looking forward to seeing a few photos, whenever you have time.

Peter and I went to Genesse  in the rain yesterday , and I am happy to report that we saw both adults and the 2  kids. the 2 juveniles were soaring and playing tag and doing precision flying. While this was going on one adult was on a tower across from nestbox. they like to go here.

the sound of juveniles was music to my ears. One had enough and landed on a roof and the other continues to play with an  adult. so fo rthose that were worried, all is well. this gives me hope for Feist as he was a week older.

We also saw the falocn swoopping pigeons but could not tell who. One of the juveniles did an awesome dive.

One chick in nestbox, the other gone.  The one in nestbox keep looking around the side, so the other chick may be on the platform there.  Now, this one in box is really exercising his wings, so I think he is ready to go.
