....as have we phanatics, worrying about her.  Thank goodness, all seems well, yet it'd be nice to know why it took so long.

I'm glad to see baby is more relaxed and napping.   :)  I don't think Mom's moving from that spot for awhile!

Looks like little missy(?) is having a well deserved snooze while Mom stands guard  ;D - this is when a sibling to snuggle with would be really comforting for the chick... :-\

TPC gave us info about colouring and numbers on bands, but this is moving too slowly today for me to go hunting for it.   :P

Glad to see the box has been cleaned up and the egg is gone.  Interesting that we've seen two nests where the egg stayed there until humans took it out, rather than the parents removing it like P&T did.

The colors represent country of origin and/or species.  I think if memory serves me correctly, one band is for Canada and the other band is a US Fisheries & Wildlife ID band.  The colors denote where in the country they are from and I believe it's the letter/number sequencing that identifies them but I'm not sure if they can tell if it's male or female or if they look up the code in the database and find it there.  I think the US band is so we can register them in their database as well but don't quote me on that, my memory isn't that great!

Ahh - well they sure took their time about it!! - if the chick is banded, we'll find out if she really is a 'She' or not!!  :P
Yes, time for a news update please.
Are the bands coloured differently by sex?

There we are, baby and mom moving to each other and baby is telling her all about the evil people who took her!  Awww... both probably in shock and nervous that the evil man will come back.

Parent is looking all around.  Maybe the other parent is hunting, and the parent instincts will take over with the familiar feeding time.

The nest is a bit neater with all the debris piled to one side, and I can't see the egg any more.
