This was so cool to watch. she was cacking and then I saw mom in box and Cassie over to front of box and then mom leaves and cassie has a fit and then picks up the prey mom brought in and is now eating.

the pictures will show it.  this is how fast the fledge will happen.

can barely see mom in box and Cassie rushes there

oh. come on mom . can't you just strip this once more

Well if that is the way she feels ,I guess I will have to do this myself :P

Eating

a little furry

She never stops cacking.  I can hardly wait to go out there this evening
Might go sooner but I do not think so.

Lots of wing action this morning.  I have to go into a meeting from 11-12 so hopefully she will wait for me to come out  :P

She's just the cutest!

Out on the edge again ,I see. can't just go out there she has to go right to the edge.

Lol..I know I was thinking the same thing!  I'm guessing that's instinctive.(.oh, oh wings up again!!!) because the juvies here did it too - they'd sit right on the edge of the ledge and flap.  I wonder if it's because they can get the wind right under the wings and practice balancing or something?

Not yet, I enjoy your late night debriefing.  It will be interesting to see the photos you have of the surrounding buildings.  Thanks so much Bev, for all that you are doing!

Well she finally went inside and is lying along the front of the box. there will be a nice cool breeze.

I will look tomorrow and try and gauge when she will fledge and then go from there.  I will be going down after supper tomorrow for sure. I want to see how close the parents are now that she is always cacking.
I keep forgetting to download my pitiful camera to show you where parents are. I will try and remember.
I am going to try and borrow my son-in-laws again to take good pictures when she fledges and after.  I usually follow them till they migrate.  After 3 weeks I only do a one week check. I t costs me a fortune to park there.  all in the interests of the birds :) :)

Have a great evening , although you are probably sleeping ;D ;D
