I think they are on to us!
LOL, Elaine! You may be right! ;) The Kinderchicklets took turns watching them nearly all morning today! Gearing up for "falcon watch"! ;D

Those geese arer a riot.  Mom (or dad) just came back in camera range and stomped all over the one on the nest, who had to dodge the feet and the rear-end in the face.  Anyway, the stomper then spent some time looking very suspiciously at the camera - I think they are on to us!

Got to see Mama and Papa Goose laying down together, side by side, with eggs tucked under one of them.  Looked very peaceful. :D Can't really tell which is mom and which is dad. :-\

The parents did a shift change about 5:30pm (Wpg time). Parent #1 was on eggs and Parent #2 arrived with lots to say. P1 chattered a bit then left. P2 wasn't done talking and left honking very loudly. Much conversation off camera then silence. The eggs were left untended for about 10 minutes. Parent returned and is going through quite the process to settle in and get comfy.

Obviously goslings get their feet under them faster than the peregrine chicks do.

I watched Ms. Goose off an on throughout the day .. .even read her Tweets. She has 7 eggs this year (5 in 2009) and as some nice still shots on her Twitter account.

I saw her get up and shift around a couple of - she's quite lovely.

for a review of this nest from last year and a video of mom and the kids waddling away from the nest..... and yes they go fast.. once they've all hatched.. they pop out and off they go to the water.

Do keep an eye on this and other waterfowl webcams you may come across, when the chicks hatch, they don't hang around the nest very long, Mom tends to start moving fairly quickly with the kids in tow ...

Wow! I will have to keep watching to see if I can observe the eggs. Have only seen her incubating, to date.

I have been watching this site also and have had the good luck of her being off the nest for a length of time.  I counted 8 eggs but the nest appears to have a bit of depth so perhaps the count is higher ???  We'll see eventually.  Have no idea how long before the eggs hatch.  You often see goslings around long weekend in May here in Wpg. ;D

Just visited this site and was lucky to see the goose stand up and move/turn 6 eggs around. It was interesting to watch as it laid back down over the eggs and pulled straw and feathers around itself to protect the eggs. Will check into this site again. Curious to know though, how long does it take for these eggs to hatch?
