Another feed, and over quite soon.  Cute lineup of chicks wondering what happened.
Looks like leftovers from the previous time are still around.  This morning this nest had been quite clean and tidy.

And I am invited and I get to put the colored tape on their bands
Yes folks we will have colored tape over the bands. I would imagine 4 different colors.

Hey Bev, ask what kind of tape they are using.  If one of our chicks goes down I plan to put tape on their aluminium band given half a chance, but I need to know what kind of tape to be sure when the chicks pick at it (and they will) it won't hurt them any ....

Thanks!

Thanks, Carly, I was thinking about that episode last year too, and wondered if we should be anticipating the same Thursday.

Bev, in preparation for Thursday's banding...to avoid the heart attack from last year - if you are allowed to say anything of course, if not speak in code  ;).  Should we be alarmed if the chicks aren't back in 1 hour or should we just assume they are trying to kidnap Radisson again  ;D

I am actually quite surprised about how clean this nest is....wasn't it a mess last year?

I am so glad you will be able to participate in the banding, Bev!

These chicks are so well cared for by both parents:

My goodness, the chicks look like they've doubled in size over the weekend. Even the littlest one looks big (well, at least bigger) now.
Oh I know...aren't they just so cute  :-*

Hi Bev, checked out the site, saw two snuggled in the front and two in the back. No chick pile.
