Part 2

Sadly I have not been able to find white band, who I rescued yesterday morning.
He was there last night when peter left at dark.

I got there at 6am and did not see him on the ledge. the workers said he was there earlier.  I looked all over , where he may have come down.

One of the security guards is supposed to go up to floor 9 of heart building tonight and see if he lying on roof below nest box. :'( :'(

I cannot figure it out. I phoned the biologist to let him know I had not seen him all day. Even if he is on roof floor and something is wrong we cannot go up there because we would spook the others. I am still praying he will turn up. It had been a scorcher today , so maybe he flew somewhere and is laying low.

Froona was given a feed this morning and I see there is still some red stuff in the box.
she will probably get a feed tonihgt, but Peter will let me know.  Being warm she was not too active but I did see lots of good wing flaps inside box and on inside lip of box. I am glad she is staying inside and is not out on outside yet. It is day 40 today. We do not want her to till Monday . I think she is looking great.

Red was beak fed  twice today and dad also brought in a big bird .
Yellow had some of this.

Red needs this as he was so tiny. He looks much bigger today. He cat walked a lot today but needs to flap more to get his wings strong . I do not want to pick him up again. Love him to bits but I would rather see him in the air. He was  timid on the ground but he is a little dare devil.
If he does not fly tonight and i am sure he will keep me hopping tomorrow.

So much  for short report  ;D ;D

I am off to bed as I will be there bright and early

I got too attached after picking up the boys. they are so gorgeous and those eyes. they make you melt.  :-* :-* :-*
Night :) :)

Peter has sent me home to get some sleep . Have some good people there tonight.
Eli is just great to have there.
So I am going to give just a quick report  ;) ;) ;)

Peter was in a meeting all day so could not get back to update you.

Yellow took flight this morning as Peter told you and he just kept showing off.
He flew from nest box to clinical science ledge , that you can see from cam 1.
Then he flew back up on the nest box. But he did not get fed at either of those places so he flew to the heart building. Dad came in but could not see if there was a food drop . I am sure there was but...

Then he flew back to the  clinical  science  ledge because   he knew Red has had food there. Jumped down on roof top  below nest box and then came back up with food.

After he had eaten , he flew back up to heart building.
Stayed there quite awhile  and then took off again to the clinical science building jut that you can see from cam 1. but he did not get enough height and hit the side slightly.

So there I went running with my box, just in case.  (I was alone for the afternoon). but he turned and started flapping and went for the side of the heart building(all glass). so there is me, shouting not too loudly , and with hand action ,  up Yellow , come on , up higher, and he got to the top and over.
OMG  that nearly gave me a whole head of gray hairs.
Did he stay there , no, he tried for the same area of clinical science building and got lots of height and landed right on roof floor. (over the ledge) He was making sure this time.
He has been there ever since, cat walking on the ledges and now in shade

Good look at Froona in profile on cam 3.  She has lost a lot of fluff in the last two days.

She's going to be a beauty like Radisson and her grandmomfalcon Princess  :-*

She's not into it though, there she is, still on the ledge, but spreading her wings.  Bet she'll not be too long to get out on those rungs.

Last year we lost Cassie a few times in all the leftovers.  Maybe Froona could show some of her inheritance of Trey genes and houseclean while she waits to fledge!
Sounds like an excellent idea to me, bcbird! ;D

Bev, Mr. Bev, Eli and Carly, thanks for all the fledging updates over the past few days. Makes me realize how fortunate we are here in Winnipeg to have only had one girl down on the road. :P You guys are doing an amazing job on Fledge Watch Patrol! :-*
