Well, I was going to phone CArly but it would have been 10:30 her time and I thought she might be in bed.
Well, Good old Peter consented to us going down tonight ,and we were blessed. Oh yes, we were.
WE got there about 6:00pm and knew we were going to have to wait.
I did see the female raven not too far from the sight .(just so you know)
Peter went and got us a nice romantic dinner of Chile from Hortons and we sat on a sand box on the parkade and ate.
And then we waited.
Well at 8:20pm I spotted my first falcon. It came flying from the east like a bat out of heck, beyond the nest building and then soared around and then along came another going just as fast.
I thought , they are sure quiet . Are they ours or is there a chase.
Of course, Peter has gone to check their night spot and missed it.
Then they both started coming back. And if your cam was up you would have seen one fly by the box at about 8:21pm . I thought it was going in.
But it checked it out because it flew so close, and then they were both off like a flash to the north east.
Then they came back , and one was on the Power building( kitty corner to the Ed building) and I knew and the other was somewhere by Campus tower(I think when I have been posting I may have posted campus tower and meant college plaza. College Plaza is the females building. Campus tower is down by Suite hotel
Anyway Peter and I went to see them and just as we got there , the one from the power building flew off in the direction of the nest box.Peter walked quickly back and I watched the one on the corner of Campus tower. Now why they were there I do not know. (they would not share that with me)
The one from the Campus tower then flew off and back towards the nest building, so I ran across a don't walk and made a B-line for the clinical science.
And you guys are worried about shouting Nest on the West. I am waiting for them to put me in the Psych ward
There was my better half watching. One was in the nest box and one was on the side of the heart building back to us. I think it was the female in the nest box.
After a bit the one in the nest box sat on the perch and then flew off and sat on the street side of the clinical science building. The other one flew off the heart building and went into the nest box and then flew off to see the female.
Then it went and sat on a light on the heart building.
Well, Peter said we did not need to them tuck in and I was not going to argue.
So I am hoping they are RAdisson and the male from last year.
I have to e-mail the biologists becasue now they can get out their scopes.
I am praying the transmitter girl does not come back to the nest building.
so watch your cams and maybe we can see the bands or tell if it is RAdisson.
Did they take the eggs out???
I am so excited. they were still on the buildings when we left.
