Female came back   April10 and the male on april11

Now because of the raven thing, they could have been copulating elsewhere.
so they went into nest for first time  Monday  April 20.  So I am guessing there was copulation before I saw it.
Her stance and everything now is nest box is same as when she laid here first egg last year.  Well I think she was crouched a bit more but she was  facing a different direction . Maybe practicing for the real deal.
I have to go out tomorrow morning but I am going into watch mode just in case

April 9th and 10th are the dates of arrival.  When I start mixing Radisson and Trey up - I know it's bed time..lol!

Don't know about the fooling around, only bev has seen that  :-\  But I'd say it's almost time!!

Took almost a month before Trey & Princess laid their first egg this year.  It will take a minimum of 2 weeks after the onset of successful copulation so better to err on the side of 3 weeks.  What date did she first arrive back?  Did the male arrive at the same time?  Anyone note when copulation was first observed?  If we have any/all this information, we could make a better guess-timate.

Not much help I know .... :-\

I was thinking the same thing the last few days.

what do you think TPC. You think we are close to eggs. I am going to be watching carefully.

I have a few more pictures to post later.

Our beauty is sitting on her perch tonight...I think she may be dozing and looking fierce while doing it  :P

She is inside the box now, wonder if she might lay an egg?  She's looking awfully lethargic or she just had a rough day  ;)

This has been ongoing and I cannot say it is a money issue  because I and a few others have offered our money support here.  I donated a whole wad the first year I started watching but.. We were promised sound and then no sound. We have given ideas, given pictures for their photo gallery    It was turned down. The others just gave up.

Don't give up heart Bev, things change and webcams are very very popular right now and someone at U of A might yet decide to pick up the torch and run with it.  Webcams are however brutally expensive to run - that's just the actually watching the picture part.  The rest of it - the blogs, forums, galleries are a full time occupation which for most of us means long hours nights & weekends as we all have day jobs.  And that is before the actual hands-on project work.  The Maine webcam has a fundraising drive on their website now (65K this year) to support their webcam, though I think perhaps that that is only part of the actual cost to operate the webcam.  I don't remember if they have additional details on costs, but if you are interested, check out their site.  (Okay, now here is the shameless promotion part  :-[) If you are shocked by the amount and want to ensure Trey & Princess remain online - Click here.

At about 11:30 the male comes to front perch with food. Female stays in nest box , then male leaves.  Female has a few words. Male  comes back and they are both on front perch, but he has no food. (missed that scape)Female leaves  and male stays on perch and then leaves.

Looking good. This has been happening for last few days. I remember that is how the male does it here. He brings food and then takes it where she can eat it and then comes back to box.  Pa did that at deMOrtel also. Everyone was wondering where he went with the food.

I mad a small sideshow so as not to take up space. Just click on the picture.
the last 2 shots are of the male . You can see how his chest differs form the female.

Thanks for all your efforts re the cams Bev! Y 8)....ou can only do so much, I guess we ARE lucky to have what we have - but then we get spoiled by other sites (ie Elk River) and want to see & hear EVERYTHING!  ;D - I'm sure as the sites become more popular, they'll upgrade at some point. You're posting some great Pics!!!!!!!!!!

The female is spending a lot of time here. she left at about 9:15 last night.

I have seen her really looking around a lot. Could be the work they are doing on the heliport.

There are still 2 females at the Weber building. Still waiting  for the transmitter readings.  I was hoping TG had found a mate. One of the biologists e-mailed last night and TG was on one side last night and another really black capped female was the other. They did not think that it was the same one as before.

If I am feeling half decent tonight I will venture out and have a look around.

I did inquire about getting the refresh cut down and let them know about  cam 2 that keeps fogging up.

I was basically told that we are lucky to have what we have period.  I tried. They say they are limited by the bandwidths of the website that hosts it and we are lucky to have this.  I understand about bandwidths from many other sites   but no one ever looks into a solution.
They said they will contact  their university contacts about the cam 2 but they doubt anything will be done as they do clean the lenses, from time to time.
I do not know what else to do because they are not open to any suggestions.

This has been ongoing and I cannot say it is a money issue  because I and a few others have offered our money support here.  I donated a whole wad the first year I started watching but.. We were promised sound and then no sound. We have given ideas, given pictures for their photo gallery    It was turned down. The others just gave up. Just not a priority here. This , by the way has nothing to do with the biologists.

So I guess I will just do what I do and keep the biologists informed as I always have.
