I wonder what that interesting head-tilt motion means?  Anyone else noticing this behavior?  Like they cock their head sideways when looking at mom?

Perhaps it means, didn't you bring dinner???

It's amazing how much they change even overnight!  so much more dark feather color now!  They all look happy and healthy to me, so I'd bet they're all getting plenty to eat.  So cute! ;D

9:19 EST and same thing again.  Mom brings in food, greedy one grabs it and he's in the corner while the other 2 are crying for food.  Mom's doing the alarm call again and greedy one is busy stuffing his face and no one else can get to the food.   Oh..fight for food!  The second one grabbed it away and he moved into the other corner and the meek one is in there trying but not having much luck - don't think there was much left to fight over  >:(

I recall Tracy saying they are hard-wired to be good siblings and parents, so I'm just going to believe that the one who didn't go grab food didn't really want it as much as the others.  I'm also going to guess that I can't tell them apart too well (two of them, anyway) so I may be wrong about who got what.  They all seem happy in the chick pile now, with mom standing guard!  Now I'll make sure to mute the sound so I don't get an unwanted wake-up screech!   :D

poor little one, just sitting there.  going to bed with hungry tummy.  its dark there now, have to wait for morning. Oh wait now,  maybe he gonna snuggle in with his sibs. Yup, group sleep fest.  Hard to watch when they all don't get there fair share, but guess thats how it is, which he would duck right under next time and grab the food, if he cant reach over go under! lol

ANOTHER snack, and AGAIN one little brat grabs it & runs over the the corner, leaving the other 2 wondering where the grub went! Mom needs to teach her kids how to share!  :o

I keep forgetting that although it's 10 pm here it's still light out in Elk River.  It's so neat being able to watch the various stages of growth of these 3, any falcon webcam for that matter.  How they changed soooooo much in the space of 3 days that we couldn't watch.  Yes the reality check certainly brings us humans back to earth.  I can only hope that the water recede and people can go back home and pick up the pieces of their lives.

And neither parent has returned with course #2 yet!  The two who got the most of the meal are konked out having their after meal, full tummy sleep, but that poor little one is still waiting....oh here comes a parent WITHOUT any food! So little chick pecks it's feet! too funny, but parent doesn't seem too worried about hungry tummies...

I wonder if they've started the feeding them less phase to prepare them for flight or if because of the storms and flooding there may be less prey around.  Either that or peregrines are just always hungry!

They're very agressive in keeping the prey to themselves! Especially the one who did the original grab!

This parent seems to be sounding the alarm to his/her partner to hurry up and  bring in some more food --- not sure why s/he doesn't go and get it ....oh, there it goes now. Sure did a long bout of screeching first!

is there anything more comical than watching the chicks laid out on their bellies, beaks on the edge looking out at the big world! reminds me of teenagers flopping about, just a little bored and hoping for food!! very adorable  :D

Oh, cool - experimental wing-flapping has begun.  And now I'm reminded that the fisheye lens really does distort things - that box is much longer than we think (or those wings are small, which I doubt).   :)
