no one is in the nest box, but someone is sitting on the rail on the left.  keep getting glimpses of there tail.

Well I just tuned in to see two in the nestbox, one is laying down and the other, bro I think was pecking at siblings tail feathers and then a foot on the back as if to say, "I know you're hiding food let me have it!"

My guess is there was food left on their beaks. 

Two are now hanging out at the ledge.  Can barely see the tail of one of them.  No way to identify who they are with  backs to me.

Did anyone see that?  There are 2 kids in the box - I believe Lightning and one of her bros.  They're pecking at each other's beaks, almost like they were giving each other kisses.  Is that a social bonding thing?

Mom swoops into the nest announcing that she has breakfast!! -  8)Nobody there but the next minute, here comes a kid to claim the prize. Grabs it & runs to the corner screaming & screeching. (MUST be Lightning)  - she stands over the snack making all sorts of noise, but no move to eat it. Then sibling arrives, decides he wants it - NO WAY!  - Lightening isn't in the mood to share, so sibling takes off and NOW she decides she'll eat. - So glad they're coming back to the nest for us to see their shenanigans!!

Thank you for the picture and the update Aline.  I keep missing them now that I"m back at work so it's good to know that they are doing well!

6:06am I think it was dad who brought a prey.  Now, one of the chicks is mantling guarding it jealously

Good morning.  It's 5:00am my time, meaning 6:00am in Elk River.

Two chicks are perched on the nestbox ledge.  A third one could be on the outside left hand bar.

i am still up, don't ask why, lol, watching the kids,,,,, two in the box tonite, not sure where the third is,,,,,,, both sittin on the ledge, one is really doing some underarm deodorizing or something. lol..Lots of grooming. they seem to be close in size, is it Chase and Bullet?  Lightning never made it back?  Lots of training and screaching went on today so who knows.  I really wished they would give us an update.!! Surely they have peregrine watchers and rescuers so why not post once in a while about what is going on?

The one nearest camera seems bigger (as the camera would make them seem) so i am not at all certain who is sitting there. Last nite, Bullet and Chase "perched" on the bars, ledges, and little miss lightning was in box with her head on ledge.. I am hoping the one nearest is Lightning, as I have grown very attached to her, and can't imagine her being out and about on her own if the bros are here! cant think about it,  as I know stuff can happen in a flash! They are all "cute" and I  love them all and watching them sitting there perched.  I am sleeping on the couch again tonite, pchemist btw, and think I will leave the volume up a tad so I dont oversleep.  Nite all!!

I love the way they are slightly puffed up while sitting on the ledge.  I don't know why it makes me giggle, but it does.

One.... two.... where's the 3rd one lol  Yeppers sure looks like they are using the nestbox for their roosting spot at night. Gotta love it.

glad they finally moved over for a better view!  Gives me hope I'll get to see them all in the nest box later on.
