Okay, i have to say, this close up is GREAT!  really clear picture of the babes, the food (ew) and the interaction.   ;D ;D

I'm assuming the other egg is behind the babes.

Dad finally got the idea and brought in food.  Mom grabbed and left and is now back to replace dad and feed the 2 beautiful little ones.

ZOOM!!!  Great shot of the babes, two eggs, one with a pip, as the shift-change finally happened.  I guess food did the trick!

A good peek at two babes and two eggs, then more shuggling.  No go on the shift change again.

Dad came to help out but she's still refusing a shift change. Much squawking at each other. Glimpse of one chick.
Maybe she's waiting for Dad to bring food?

I kinda figured that there would be a hatching when I got up but didn't think about 2!  I did see one chick as it popped out while mom quickly got it underneath her again.  Congrats to Mom!!

Attempted shift change! She won't give up the prized brooding position. Two chicks and two eggs visible.

just got another peek under adult.  seen one very squirmy white fluff ball with its little head bobbling around.  lol. Adult positioned chick right beside the egg that is pipping.  ;)
