Okay, that's like keeping your kid in their snowsuit at a family reunion ...

Might be that the last egg is hatching and Mom doesn't want to get off/move much until its done - just a supposition, can't say what's actually going on of course ...

I can't tell if this is an intimate moment or a stalement between these two.  To me, it looks like the falcon outside, who I presume is dad, wants to go in, while mom inside does not want to go out.  If this is indeed the case, I hope they can talk it over and compromise, but I guess I am thinking like a human.

And the whole time Dad has been there the only thing I've seen Mom move is her head.

This by far the longest time that I have ever seen these two in close proximity to each other.  I would really like to know what is going through their heads.

Tracy, what would you call that sound?  WIth both of them there. 

There is a technical name but I always forget it (will track down), I call it a "kissy" noise.  Its an intimate noise between the adults, sometimes between adult and chick but the chicks are usually to loud & strident - its a two-way intimate vocalization, both do it or its not this noise.  Its the noise the pair makes, when they are close, its quiet, affectionate (in the peregrine sense) and its intimate, its just for/between the two of them.

TPC the sound the female is making is that to Dad or the kids? I don't recall hearing a female call like that.
