I've been watching most of the morning to see if they would take her away and the note was not there...so I guess they did not want us to see them remore her...this is so sad. :'(

It was up earlier.  I watched a feeding right before the cam went down.  The other 3 chicks ate eagerly while the one remained motionless against the wall.   :'( :'(

I just noticed that right now, don't think it was up earlier but I could be wrong.  I was so focused on Bella that honestly I didn't notice.

The cam is down, maybe they're removing the chick?

There is a note on the webcam page saying that the cam will be down for maintenance today, don't know if that was there from before or if that is just the easiest way to take the cam down and not have folks worried and phoning them ...

I do not  watch here but when they were all snuggled during the night maybe she got suffocated???
Now they were jsut banded last week  so to they can still check this out without fear of the kids flying right???
I cannot watch now but could someone pm when you find something out.

No way she suffocated being in a chickpile, doesn't happen.  Could be a bacterial or viral infection or she could have eaten something that caused breathing problems or, or, or.  Chicks at this age are hard to kill relative to a couple of weeks ago.  I was watching yesterday and I can't say that I saw anything wrong with any of the chicks, but like most predators they tend not to show anything because they can't afford to be seen as vulnerable.  Not that she has/had anything to worry about from her siblings, peregrines do not "practice" infanticide or siblicide.  Hope Elk River will post the results, would be good to know from a management stand-point.

:'(  Thanks Carly.  I was going to try to contact them too.  There's two chicks hovering over her...so sad.  They must know.  I thought it was strange too that she kept squawking and wouldn't stop, as if to tell Mom she's not feeling well.   :'( :'(

Just spoke to Carol at the GRE to let them know, she will contact the appropriate people internally and advise them of what is going on.

Ok parent in with food and that chick not moving or breathing.  Parent is surrounded and can't tell no doubt.  One of the chicks stepped on her and she's not moving, I'm afraid she's gone.

I hope the parent will notice. :'(.  Nope they didn't notice.
