I've been finding it too hard on the eyes to see who's who on the cam, so it may be best that I stop guessing. Anyhow, some poor birdie has clearly been feeling the effects of the heat and is still at the nestbox.

Pip (I think) stopped by very briefly over 3 hours ago, and he seemed to have a lot to say (about something), so I'm not sure what that was about.

Seeing as how our Princess is a wild bird, a bit older, she may be harking back to her instincts to be out in the open. Either way, I wish her good luck at starting a family.

They really are keeping us guessing. ???

Wow - a visit by Princess! ;D  That's good to hear, TPC. Pip has been trying so exceptionally hard to attract her to the nestbox, so I'll be feeling very sorry for him if it doesn't work.

Just before I sat down for dinner, Princess was sitting on the edge of the nestbox grooming ... Pip was sitting on the edge of the nestledge just hanging out.  This pair is going to keep us guessing .... no eggs yet in either location.

I would also be okay with just having Princess around this year - eggs or no eggs, chicks or no chicks - our Princess is here.  :)

Allikat’s Post prompted me to check the 14 day forecast - Thursday and Friday look to have rain again so guess it might be a question of timing if Princess really is near to laying ...
