TPC, some of us WPGers noticed that the tall tower on the roof of the Radisson is gone and the parents are using a shorter perch on the south of the bldg. What happened to it?

They've sure come a long way from those little white balls of fluff! Every year, I love to watch them transform from fluff balls to actual peregrine falcons.  :)

Murderous little peregrines this year ... imagine Princess' genes crossing with Terminator's genes ... yikes!  I won't envy whomever has to run the gauntlet past one of these birds in order to band their chicks!!  ;D

With any luck, that'll be you, Dr. Bob and Dennis  ;D

You are an evil evil woman Susha wishing any one, let alone all three, of these little terrors on us when they are grown up and have even better aim and worse tempers!!!

But we'd do it and tell stories about it for years.  We'd even make sure we have colourful duck tape just in case  ;D

Yikes, I've been getting shivers down my spine from all this wickedness! I hope you won’t be facing any more miscreants this year TPC … though you never know … ;D

That flashy duck tape has been selling out fast, by the way.

Would love to be seeing the outside cam view   :-\ - The kids don't want to stay in the house on such a nice day.  8)

TPC! I have a question. Are there any pigeons left downtown? So many feathers and wings.

He's off.
What do you mean, susha?
Did he fledge???  :-\

No,no, KC!  He's off the ledge, back into the nextbox.  Sorry, didn't mean to alarm :-[

Hahaha! Didn't think so susha, but wondered if he fell out. Can't view the webcam very much as it doesn't often work for me. So I rely on posters comments for info on the chicks.

One (I assume Zena!) has been looking like she's interested in the outside world (and wingersizing) for a couple of days, whereas the male spends more time inside than the females do.  I know males generally fledge first but he just doesn't seem too interested.

The little terrors post lunch (the remains remain behind them) on the balcony about noon today

TPC, can you guesstimate when these guys will start fledging?

They still have a fair bit of fuzz on them and usually the males (who go first) have just a wee bit of fuzz on the top of their heads.  This little group of bandits is bigger, so I don't suspect they will go as soon as the male might.  But the male might not go as earlier as say the Brandon chicks have fledged only because both of his sibs won't be going with him ...

What I can tell you is that as of today, the youngest is 33 days old, the oldest is 35.  Can't tell who is youngest/older, but they look like they will have another week before they start to me ... it will be interesting to see though ...

The only other chicks Smiley and Princess have had together are Vimy and Chapelle in 2014 and they fledged, without incident, from the nestbox at 44 and 42 days respectively.

Yes the nestledge cam is up and running so when they start playing down at the end, we can switch cams easily enough!
