Well now, it seems to me that we all do somethings that gross other people out. ( pull my finger ) ;D

Loved the pics of the owl, without Dennis and his camera and his love of birds, we would never have seen this in our lifetime.     Thanks Bob :-*

Love the photos Dennis.....the owl pellet sequence is fantastic!  No delicate way of hacking up a pellet is there  ::)

Spectacular photos Dennis, loved the faces on the owls - they are so expressive and that bald eagle in the air shot..wow!

thanx for the suggestion dupre501
I checked out the photos and am sure that the bird I saw was a female Ruby-throated hummingbird.
I've bookmarked Dennis' website :)
Now that the merlins are mostly away, we're seeing more of the smaller birds returning to our yard and feeders.

PMG, check out Dennis' website.

Go to All Galleries > Back Yard Birds > Hummingbirds.

He has shots of male and female Ruby-Throated hummingbirds

Hi Dennis,
Do you have photos of hummingbirds...I'm sure you do :)
I just spotted one in my back yard. I'm guessing it's a female Ruby-throated. If you could help me identify it by giving me a link, it will be much appreciated.

This summer (if that's what you want to call it) I have been fallowing a pair of Swainson Hawks. They hatched three chicks and all have now fledged. I'll continue to check this location when time/weather permits.
If interest prompts you more photos have been added to the recent gallery.

wow!  image 470-1 is my new wallpaper.  :)
OK so I thought this was a seriously cool idea and I made it my wallpaper but it is such a startling picture that it gave me a little jump everytime I turned on the screen so I changed it to one of the puppy at 6 weeks old - awwwwwwww!

Last night HuB complained. Said he really liked the upside down falcon and could I put it back up! :o

Way to go, Dennis. I think you are helping to draaaaag him (HuB) in! ;D
