About 6 pm yesterday, we spotted a bird on the south sign of the Diner. Looked like Beatrix.

Talk about waiting till the last moment.

Spotted Beatrix on the east side of the Diner this evening. She was having a nap.

Glad you saw someone Dupre, no one on camera all day  :'(

I'm also glad you're still seeing someone, Dupre. Enjoy our falcons as long as you can, and thanks for sharing. :)

On Wednesday evening, Beatrix was on the south sign of the Diner.

On Thursday, we found her there again, with Try hanging out on the NW corner.

Hoe all goes well, so late in season. I always thought that towards end of season we would not have territorial battles. But Gord was telling us that their hormones revert to defense of territory as well as bonding.

I know when falcons , do not migrate, this is to be expected, but I thought it would be different with migrating birds.

So fingers crossed

Melee was more show than conflict at the nestbox at least - only saw the attacker a couple of brief seconds as it bombed past otherwise it was 5-6 feet above the female.  Now that I know the female on the box wasn't Beatrix, I'm pretty sure she was the attacker.  Haven't seen other bird since and yesterday Beatrix and Ty were doing their usual thing in the nestbox as though the melee didn't happen.
