...currently a feeding happening, and it looks like there is a major crack in one of the remaining eggs - another hatching imminent?...

I noticed last evening it had a large crack and I thought by this morning it would have hatched.  :-\

...4th egg!  There were only 3 this morning, so it's a recent addition; and, as I observed Tuesday morning, hard incubation (thanks, TPC  ;) ) had begun, so, unless these two change things up by adding another egg, then I would expect a hatch-watch starting around May 18th at the earliest, so Victoria Day weekend, I'm guessing... ;D

Great camera views, but what is that big white kidney bean shaped looking thing in the nest box? :-\ It can be seen when looking at webcam # 1.

It's a rock for the birds to perch on.

2012 NESTING SEASON

...cams are up and working!  There is a peregrine in the box at the time of this writing - no eggs, yet, but there looks to be a nice scrape!   ;D

Very, very sad news indeed.  :'( As Kinderchick mentioned there does seem to be lots of sad news at many nest sites this year.

This is very sad news, indeed, especially since both birds seemed to be healthy. Will be interesting to hear what the necropsy reports indicate. Lots of sad news at many nestsites this year, it seems. :'(

...necropsy results in - from the utah website:

Neither bird showed any sign of infectious disease, but the lab saw evidence that both birds had suffered from large falls. Amelia had a ruptured crop that led to a bacterial infection and a bruised heart. Sally was extremely emaciated and her crop and intestines were completely empty. She also had a contusion on the top of her head that was likely caused by a large fall.
