Where are the chicks ??? ???

I think they are in the bottom corner where you can't see them, there is probably shade there.  ;)

I've been out of town for the week, without being able to watch the webcam. :'(

Wow!  Have the chicklets ever grown!   :o   ;D :D

Adult plumage definitely starting at the wing tips.  Looks like they are big enough for banding.  Not much longer now, lil' ones.  :- ::)

Well Winnipeg is dry right now but if we get what Brandon has the poor little ones are going to be quite wet.
Chickes are out of site right now.

One of the chicks tries to pull it's foot out from underneath the prey that mom set on top of it's foot and stood on it.  Meanwhile the chick keeps eating regardless......it finally gets free. Apparently the stomach is more important that the foot.  ;D

They sure seem lethargic today!! Have barely seen them move - maybe due to the humidity. Maybe due to being worn out from the evening's events!!  ???

Or resting up in case we get more rain tonight ...  :-\

have changed the camera angle to cover most of the roof, the chicks are wandering too much to leave zoomed in if I can't constantly monitor the cam

It's nice to be able to see where both chicks are and also when a parent arrives.  :)

And it helps that the sun isn't out as well, we don't have the heat radiating off the wall and giving us that heat mirage effect ...

Chronology this morning ...

pre-dawn - definitely had a meal because Princess came to hang out with them a couple of times between 0400h and 0600h and they didn't run to her begging for food
0623h - meal in the peak corner
1001h - both napping - larger (female?) in the peak, smaller (male?) against the wall at the edge of the concrete

have changed the camera angle to cover most of the roof, the chicks are wandering too much to leave zoomed in if I can't constantly monitor the cam

Weather forecast for today ...

Day - Overcast with a chance of rain. High of 27C. Winds from the East at 5 to 15 km/h. Chance of rain 50%.
NIght - Overcast with a chance of rain, then a chance of a thunderstorm and rain after midnight. Low of 18C. Breezy. Winds from the NE at 10 to 20 km/h. Chance of rain 40%.

Rain looks to have stopped for now - hope it stays that way and tomorrow looks pretty good - kiddies don't look like happy campers right now to say the least!!  :-X

The poor little darlings look so wet and kind of scared.  At least Mom is with them.  I think it is her.  Brandon chicks are nice and dry under a cover.

Yup, that's Princess - she's still bigger than her chicks, Ivy's closer to the chicks in size, maybe not when they are soaking wet but close ....

... rain has tapered off significantly out in West Winnipeg ...
