Perhaps with the way bagpipes sound there are sometimes notes or screech-like sounds that are a bit like their warning sounds?  And for the record, I love the sound of bagpipes - no slur intended.

2156h
Brandon's birds are nice and dry in their box, no rain and everyone looks content and ready to settle for the evening.
Now we know the egg has truly been rejected, will someone from the project pick it up and anylyze it to see what went wrong?

Hurricane is looking around, she can hear the bagpipes and is wondering What the heck ???

There's also a train in the background. The sound is quite amazing.

That would be Brooklyn in the nest right now. There is a parade going on and he obviously doesn't like the bagpipe noise.   ;D

How can he not like bagpipes!! He was hatched on the McKenzie Seeds Building!! He's Brooklyn of McKenzie, son of Keener-Screech of McKenzie, grandson of Mufasa who is an adopted McKenzie.  ;) ;D

(revised:  Brooklyn is Screech's kid, not Zeus' ... was volunteering today, long day, need a nap)

...it really is a bizarre-looking egg... :P

I also thought the egg looked a little strange. It does look cracked, but to me it looks like a half shell from a previous hatch has somehow stuck to one end of the unhatched egg.  I say this because the color between the two halves is very abrupt. I would think if this has happened it would be almost impossible for the chick to hatch...
Yes, that appears to be what it looks like and unfortunately, perhaps that is why it could not hatch. :(

Hurricane doesn't seem to be incubating it.  Currently cast off the side, but still near.  Just wander what will happen.

Still windy, but noise factor has abated.  A bit of shut eye now possible.

She doesn't like the noise either, these are unusual noises from the normal downtown noises they hear.  Plus there could be people on roofs and fire escapes close by, which won't make them happy.  :)

Not sure what happened...I was watching a frantic feeding ( 8:29 ) on the CBC site witch looked like speeded up video...but that wasn't what was going on in real time There was no feeding   ???
Perhaps TPC will explain.

You weren't seeing things Dennis. Hurricane fed the chicks at 830am.  ;D
