Brooklyn and Hurricane are very vocal, dive bomb and swoop at the people on the roof when they take their chicks for banding.  :)

Awesome video RCF. I would be excited to be up there, but kinda scared because you never know where the parents are coming from if you don't pay close attention to them.

Just like almost every other time I check on the little chicks, two are sprawled out trying to snooze while the third is awake. . . and by it's open mouth obviously calling for breakfast. There is one in every family!

Yikes!!! One of the chicks has jumped out of the nest box!!! OMGosh!!!!

Oh please go back in where you are safe.

The chick is back in the nest box. Oh man, that terrified me. Maybe mom or dad gave them a nudge back in. I couldn't look. . . but then I had to look to see if all was okay.

Here's video of Alison (hope the spelling is right) from conservation retrieving the chicks from the nest box.  She had to climb 30 feet up the ladder to get them.   :-X   :D

Since nobody else has asked, I will... Do these beautiful blinged birds have names yet?

Have Hurricane & Brooklyn returned to the chicks yet, have they been fed?  ???

Yes, Hurricane fed them a kildeer about 7:20pm that I saw, but I think they were fed earlier than that because it looked like some sort of birdie parts in the box.   :-\
Thanks RCF!  ;D I hadn't seen anybody but the chicks all afternoon so was wondering!  8)

For those who are new to this forum:

http://www.mckenzieseeds.com/newsroom.aspx?nid=1

This will take you to the McKenzie Seeds website, they have a nice shot of the historic building they used for over 95 years (where the nestbox is).

You can actually make out where the nestbox is in this picture (which is from the url above)

Those banding the chicks access the lower roof (seven floors) and used a ladder to reach the nest box. When they returned the chicks, they put them in a different nestbox on the roof they accessed them from. So the chicks are only a ladder's length below where they were before (plus some roof space).

I am new, so could you please tell me who was holding the little ones at banding time. I don`t get to see the birds flying from this prov.

That was TPC (aka The Peregrine Chick, aka Tracy)
