Is that the same sort of "MAGIC" as the Tooth Fairy?    ??? :D

The Egg Elf  8)

And yes, I suspect tonight will be the night if it hasn't happened already.  Neither Hurricane nor Brooklyn were in the nestbox last night but the night before, Hurricane turned up and spent most of the time (when she was visibile) standing in one place, next morning she was lying on her egg.  AT 1956h this evening, Hurricane parked herself in the nestbox, standing, stiff-legged and eyes closed or mostly closed most of the time.  She is standing in the scrape, sometimes egg 1 is beside her, sometimes between her feet, but mostly I think she is aware of the scrape and the rest is "labour" so to speak.

At the moment, all that is visible on the cam is a ghostly image of her head and breast - the white is glowing and making the outline of the rest of her head visible in the black inside the nestbox.

Once upon a time, 2 day's ago a black and white falcon spent the night in the nestbox in downtown Brandon...in the morning magic had occurred and a reddish brown egg was left behind
Well at 7:45 pm we have a black and white falcon sitting at the nestbox again looking at the egg that was left behind...perhaps MAGIC will occur this evening  ???  ;)

I'm afraid no egg-siblings yet and Hurricane is off doing whatever "pregnant" peregrines do ...  :D

Hurricane is in the box at the moment.  She's standing over the egg (still just one) napping and with that thousand-yard stare that could be a good sign  ;)
RCF just phoned and Brooklyn is on the north light preening,I guess he wants to look pretty if a second egg might be forthcoming. LOL ;D

Still only one egg in the nestbox and mostly the parents are away from the box.  They come by periodically to check out the egg and then they hang out for a few minutes then they are off again.  The egg is in the shade now as the sun is directly overhead.

The box is empty of everyone except The Egg.  Brooklyn checked on his progeny at 2010h, Hurricane about an hour before that.

I was in Brandon this afternoon and before I left around fourish I could see Brooklyn perched on the west light of the clock tower.  :)

Its a good thing we have two cameras here ... there is a big raindrop in the middle of the box cam's lens and its blocking my view of the egg!!!  Window cam view is perfect however (thanks Eye-Spy & Dennis!)

1610h
Its been windy all day in Brandon but now there is rain and Hurricane (windy & rainy name) has decided enough is enough and she's parked her but on her kid-in-waiting.  Her feathers are getting fluffed by the wind but she is tucked way into the corner of the box so she is high and dry.

1616h
Nuts, now she's "off" - scrape is dry though ...
